Static Underground #4: Hello June, Bamberdöst, Knifethroat, & Mourning Coffee (Apr. 19, 2026)

Welcome back to Static Underground, the monthly livestream series that brings you the best up and coming artists from across the rock spectrum on Static Shift Radio. This is your chance to discover new artists and catch local favorites tearing it up on YouTube from the comfort of your own home!

Head over to YouTube to watch these
bands perform live!

This month we are mellowing out for a minute, and first up is Mourning Coffee. Christian started the goth/folk project out of Morristown, NJ to share his own pain and alchemize it, in the hopes others will feel a little less alone. His music is the embodiment of the pain awakening process, and he turns life experiences into song.

Next up to sing their hearts out is Knifethroat out of Westchester County, NY. Suburbia outside of New York City is full of variety, and these elder emos are bringing a convergence of your favorite old-school folk styles to the early 2000s and org-core punk scene.

Kicking off hour two is Bamberdöst. A rock & roll group out of New Jersey, their lead singer Paul is going to bring their brutalist, heavy style to his acoustic guitar for the afternoon. Whether you’re an old punk or a new rocker, you’ll find a familiar tone across all their tunes.

Closing out the stream is West Virginia’s own Hello June. This Charleston three-piece is known for intimate and dynamic performances, ranging from quiet, song-focused experiences to emotionally driven rock. They’ve been recognized by NPR, No Depression, Paste Magazine, and more, so get ready for a show you won’t forget.

And special thanks to Alex Gaylon for providing some cozy, ambient vibes in between bands. You can follow them for more experimental music and livestreams!
