Static Underground #7: Father Before Me, Whippits, Blam-Co & Thundersun (JuLY 12, 2026)

First up we’re starting a little heavy. Thundersun is calling in from Westchester New York, bringing their progressive power metal sound to the Underground stage. They are influenced by bands like Rush and Dragonforce, which you can see in their EP “Protector of the Galaxy” which dropped last summer.
Next up, we are heading north on Route-95 to Massachusetts for a rock duo, Blam-Co! Nathan and Mitchell are fusing the sounds they grew up with, featuring elements of retro video games, weird mythologies and a whole lot more. We didn’t soften up yet, we’re keeping it heavy in New England.
The second hour is all about Long Island and who better to kick it off than Whippits. Inspired by the adrenaline-fueled pop punk scene, this quartet is ready to come out swinging. Better move the furniture because the mosh pits are incoming whether you like it or not.
Closing out the night is Father Before Me. Now you might say that Queens isn’t Long Island, but let’s not fight about geography because these guys are already living in the future. With a distinct blend of pop, skate and prog punk sounds, topped off with a post-hardcore edge, we are in for a quite the experience from these guys.
